Itoyoshi is located behind Hamada post office near Hamada city office. It’s a restaurant serving Tonkatsu -fried pork chops. It is actually an old Japanese traditional house made of wood. So people can dine in a relaxed atmosphere.

At lunch time, a lot of people want to eat the lunch of the day, and try “Ohiru no Hanayagi zen,お昼の華やぎ膳”, too. The meals are combos. If you order one of them, you can get free refill of rice and cabbage. Please be aware that you can eat today’s lunch from Monday to Friday, and only 20 people can eat “Ohiru no Hanayagizen,お昼の華やぎ膳.” But don’t worry! Itokichi has many kinds of other Tonkatsu dishes. It has other Tonkatsu combos, some kind of rice bowl dishes and curry with fried pork cutlets. The menus have a lot of photographs so you can always check the price, point at a picture and say ‘kore onegai shimasu’, or ‘This one, please.’

I ate “Ohiru no Tyouzyuku Buta; look for お昼の長熟豚 on the menu. It was a Tonkatsu combo. The Tonkatsu is made from mature pork from Satsuma, Kagoshima prefecture. It was so nice!  Their menu changes regularly.   People who work there take good care of the customers.
